Comarch is building its own Data Center abroad
In 2010 Comarch plans to open a Data Center in Lille, France with the next one planned for Germany. Currently, Comarch has two modern Comarch Data Centers in both Cracow and Warsaw, an additional one in Cracow is currently under construction.
The new investment is characterized as followed by Adam Tymofiejewicz, Director of the Center for Consulting Services, Data Center and IT Outsourcing, Comarch SA. - Comarch Data Centers are a long-term investment, which incorporates the ability to optimally scale the centers' hosting services to match demand. Therefore, Comarch's new Data Centers are taking on a gradual development, beginning with an area of 600-700m2. Taking into consideration the concept of Green IT, effective technical solutions will be implemented such as IT consolidation and virtualization, which allows for a reduction in the consumption of electricity. In accordance with customer expectations regarding accessibility, the centers will meet TIA-942 specifications on the level TIER4, ensuring high DataCenter availability.
Comarch's first Data Center opened in 2001. Clients include international companies based in Poland, EU and the United States from industries including banks and insurance companies, telecom operators, companies from the retail & FMCG sector as well as government institutions. The existing CDC contains several thousand IT devices, which are managed 24/7, 365 days per year. Operations are supervised by top experts: system engineers with many years of experience in the field. Every day millions of people use the systems located in Comarch Data Centers to process terabytes of data.
