Etihad on Let’s Talk Loyalty: 10 millionth Member, Program Refresh & More

Mark Potter, Managing Director of Etihad Guest, the loyalty program of Comarch’s long-standing client Etihad Airways, recently appeared on the Let's Talk Loyalty podcast. The episode marked a significant milestone for the loyalty program, which recently celebrated reaching 10 million members and unveiled an exciting new era.

Etihad Guest Celebrates 10 million Members


Etihad Airways has experienced rapid customer growth, in part due to its successful loyalty program. This program recently reached a significant milestone with the enrollment of its 10 millionth member. To celebrate, Etihad will grant the lucky member Platinum status, a tier typically reserved for the most frequent flyers. The airline has also planned additional surprises to thank its loyal customers.

Loyalty Program Refresh


Etihad Airways recognizes the pivotal role its loyalty program plays in achieving its ambitious growth plans for 2030. As the program continues to evolve, Etihad aims to leverage customer data more effectively to deliver highly personalized offers and services. A planned app refresh will further solidify this commitment, providing customers with an even more tailored experience.

Mark Potter shared his insights into the program's refresh and the exciting plans for its loyal members:

We took some time to evaluate what does the program structure look like, are we set up to succeed, do we need to be more influential in certain parts of the program and our business, as well as assess the performance on different metrics within the program. (...) That meant we essentially reviewed almost every part of the program and announced in February that we were going to make some changes. The core principles were about simplification, driving a rewarding experience, and giving members something more personalized.

We’re proud that Comarch played an important role in the recent refresh of the program, by contributing to the creation of custom, personalized perks and the innovative Beyond Benefits suite, offering exclusive rewards for high-tier members, including:

  • Priority access
  • Business class lounge passes
  • Bonus Etihad Guest miles

We had a fantastic suite of IT partners, said Mark. Comarch was instrumental in the creation of the Custom suite and Beyond Benefits suite, so it’s going very well.
