As part of its development strategy, La Redoute has chosen Comarch’s EDI platform to obtain better monitoring of drop shipping processes in the supply chain. The platform enables the company to track the fulfillment of orders more effectively, from placement to shipping to invoicing.
The main purpose of this project is to ensure the reliability and quality of data exchanged during the supplier order fulfillment process. Previously, such exchanges were sometimes full of errors or irregularities that hampered the traceability of orders both for La Redoute and their suppliers. This had a significant negative effect on the quality of customer service and business activity.
The project, launched in 2018, includes both technical migration and the connection of partners. In particular, orders, order responses and despatch advices messages are exchanged. Then, the invoice message will be launched. More than 80 000 documents are exchanged every month via the platform. The project, currently being implemented in France, Belgium, and Switzerland, will gain momentum in the near future with the inclusion of other countries in which La Redoute operates.
“The go live project took place in June 2018. It was very important for us to provide La Redoute with a stable EDI platform that would be able to meet the company’s ambitions and quality requirements. A few months after starting the project, we can say that we have achieved our goals. It is a true collaborative project, we are currently working together to connect new contractors and to expand the platform abroad”, says Matthieu Roussel, Comarch Trader responsible for contacts with large enterprises.
“Throughout the project's duration, Comarch teams listened to our requirements and took into account the limitations resulting from the specificity of our sector. They were also very sensitive to our expectations, working constantly with the goal of improving the service, thus proving a strong sense of responsibility, which we very much appreciate”, says Mathieu Blampain, IT project manager at La Redoute.
La Redoute, a company specializing in clothing and decorative materials, is e-commerce entity in France that has been able to create and provide distribution and delivery both domestically and abroad by providing customers with high quality services.
