Romania Updates B2C E-Invoicing System Ahead of March 2025 Deadline

Romania has introduced new updates to its e-Factura system following the mandatory B2C e-invoicing reporting requirement that took effect on January 1, 2025. To support businesses and maintain efficient processing of B2B and B2G invoices, additional services for B2C reporting have been integrated into both test and production environments.

Starting March 31, 2025, businesses must use the newly designated B2C invoice upload URL. Until then, a soft-landing period remains in place, meaning non-compliance will not result in penalties. The latest web service documentation from the tax authorities provides further implementation details.
