Bolivia Extends Deadline for Group 9 Taxpayers

The Bolivian government enters another phase in its e-invoicing regulations. In this news, we’re diving into what changes.

The Bolivian National Tax Service (SIN) has issued a new resolution granting an extension for the mandatory adoption of electronic invoicing for taxpayers in Group 9.

The updated timeline requires these taxpayers to exclusively issue electronic tax documents starting March 1, 2025. This deadline is different from the previous one, which was set for December 1, 2024. Taxpayers can refer to the original resolution to verify their assigned invoicing modality.

The implementation of electronic invoicing is a critical step in Bolivia's efforts to modernize its tax system. By transitioning to digital tax documents, the SIN aims to improve transparency, reduce tax evasion, and streamline compliance processes for businesses and the government alike.
