Škoda Expands Digital Services with Pay to Fuel in Collaboration with Comarch
Škoda Auto, the Czech-based vehicle manufacturer, continues to extend its digital services portfolio with the groundbreaking Pay to Fuel service. This new offer is part of Škoda's ongoing efforts to enhance the convenience and driving experience of the user. Pay to Fuel follows the success of the Pay to Park service, which allows users to cover parking fees in cities across Europe using the MyŠkoda app or the infotainment system in their vehicles.
Škoda has once again partnered with Comarch, its long-standing development partner with ongoing projects since 2015, to deliver new customer-centric solutions. This collaboration underscores Škoda's commitment to integrating advanced digital technologies into its vehicles, further enriching the user experience. Together, we’ve rolled out the new in-car payments service, Pay to Fuel.
Introducing the Pay to Fuel service
The Pay to Fuel service is an innovative solution designed to streamline the refueling process. This convenient system lets you handle payments directly from your car's infotainment screen, saving valuable time at each fuel stop.
How Pay to Fuel works
With direct payments from the car’s infotainment screen, the process is straightforward. Upon arriving at a fuel station, the vehicle automatically recognizes it. The driver opens the app on the vehicle’s display, confirms the petrol station, and inputs the pump number. Once refuelling is complete, the fuel amount is displayed on the infotainment screen, and payment is made using a debit or credit card, with all major cards accepted. Since the card is securely paired with the account, there is no need to enter card details each time. The driver receives a transaction notification both in the MyŠkoda app and on the vehicle’s display, allowing them to drive away seamlessly.
Country coverage
Pay to Fuel is available for all Škoda ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) model series sold on the European market. Currently, Pay to Fuel is available in six European countries: Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg, Germany and Austria. There are also plans to launch the service in additional countries in the near future.
