Apfino's new tool supports companies in whistleblower protection

In response to increasing legal requirements, companies with at least 50 employees, as well as all accounting firms and several other financial institutions, must implement whistleblower protection procedures. Addressing this obligation, the Apfino platform has introduced a new tool that enables organizations to efficiently manage reports of irregularities while safeguarding whistleblower anonymity.

Paulina Powązka, Product Manager at Apfino, emphasizes: - Our tool is designed with safety and efficiency in mind. We provide an anonymous and secure method for reporting irregularities, helping organizations meet statutory requirements.

Functionality and Security

Apfino’s whistleblower service uses advanced encryption mechanisms to ensure data confidentiality. Through an integrated internal communicator, whistleblowers can securely communicate with the company’s designated reporting officer. Moreover, all data is stored in certified data centers located in Poland.

With Apfino’s offering, clients receive:

  • a whistleblower protection procedure template tailored to the organization's specifics,
  • a dedicated online form,
  • a secure communication channel for whistleblowers and reporting officers,
  • a complete registry of reports.

Support for Legal Compliance

The new "Whistleblower Reports" service addresses the needs of entrepreneurs striving to comply with EU directives on whistleblower protection. Previously, the Apfino platform, owned by Comarch Finance Connect, introduced a solution supporting accounting firms in fulfilling obligations related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML legislation). Accounting firms already using Apfino’s AML service can benefit from special pricing terms when implementing the whistleblower tool.
